When designing this generation of the Liquid reel, Lamson took a wholistic view of the production process as well. They asked the tough questions like "How much of a reel at this price point can actually be made in the US?" Turns out, you can accomplish a great deal with a little extra effort. Liquid's castings are imported, but then CNC-machined in the US in those areas critical to the drag system and connection areas.
All the components are assembled in Boise, ID, by the same people that assemble their top-tier reels. No other fly fishing reel manufacturer can tout this much "Made-in-USA" assembly and quality inspection at the $100 price range.
