CLOSEOUT - Thomas & Thomas Zone Fly Rod

Choose a Size

The Thomas & Thomas Zone Fly Rod is the rod that brings genuine T&T performance within reach of more fly anglers than ever before. Built by hand in Thomas & Thomas's Massachusetts, USA facility alongside the flagship Avantt and Exocett series, the Zone uses the same multimodulus composite infused with T&T's advanced StratoTherm resin — the same resin developed for rods that cost significantly more. The result is a rod that casts, feels, and performs like a T&T, at a price point that makes American-made excellence accessible. Available in 11 models from 3wt to 10wt, covering freshwater trout fishing through most saltwater applications.

Note: Our remaining inventory features gloss black hardware throughout. These are closeout units — same rod, exceptional value.

Thomas & Thomas Zone – Feature Review

The Zone's foundation is T&T's StratoTherm resin system — an advanced resin developed for the Avantt and Exocett flagship series that improves the bond between carbon fiber layers, resulting in a blank that is lighter, more responsive, and more consistent in action than standard epoxy-infused blanks. Every Zone rod is rolled and built by hand in Massachusetts, which means the same craftspeople building T&T's most expensive rods are building the Zone. That's not marketing — it's the reason the Zone casts the way it does.

The action is medium/fast for 2wt–4wt models — the right balance of tip sensitivity and backbone for small stream and technical dry fly fishing — and fast action for 5wt–10wt models, where loading speed and power transfer matter for longer casts, heavier flies, and saltwater applications. Titanium frame stripping guides with Zirconium inserts on freshwater models, Snake Brand E-Coating Universal Snake guides on saltwater models (8wt–10wt).
