When the Trail Gets Wet, These Don't Quit.
If you're hiking in the Pacific Northwest, chasing late-season snow, or just refuse to let a rainstorm cut your day short, the Kahtoola LEVAgaiter GTX is the gaiter you want on your feet. We carry these at basin + bend because they solve a real problem: staying dry without hauling around a heavy, stiff gaiter that you dread putting on.
Available in Mid and Tall (13.5") heights in Small, Medium, and Large.
What Sets It Apart
- 3-layer GORE-TEX® construction — genuinely waterproof, genuinely breathable, not just water-resistant
- YKK AquaGuard® coil zipper keeps the closure watertight while staying flexible and easy to operate with cold or gloved hands
- 3D Performance Fit — two-piece tensioned design that actually hugs your boot contours instead of gaping and letting debris in
- DuraLink® instep strap with a 1,000-mile warranty — ultra abrasion-resistant TPU that's also adjustable and replaceable
- Ultralight — just 4.5–4.7 oz per pair, so you'll actually bring them on every trip
Mid vs. Tall — Which Should You Choose?
The Tall (13.5") is the go-to for deep snow, stream crossings, and serious wet-weather hiking where you need full lower-leg coverage. The Mid is a great all-rounder for shoulder-season conditions and everyday wet trails where you want protection without the bulk. Both use the same GORE-TEX construction — it's purely a coverage question.
Best Used With
These pair especially well with GORE-TEX hiking shoes and boots, but work great with any waterproof footwear. If you're running a non-waterproof shoe in wet conditions, pair with the RENAgaiter instead for breathability. Not sure which gaiter is right for your setup?
