Basin + Bend's - The Take

Yesterday was the 4th of July. How many of you spent at least part of your day on public lands? We certainly did, and we're guessing quite a few of you did too.

Last week U.S. Senator and reputed short-lister for the Supreme Court nomination, Mike Lee, outlined a three-part plan to privatize your public lands.

Today, Basin + Bend, a sporting goods retailer that self-imposes an 11% conservation tax on itself, announced that the Rock Creek Greenback Cutthroat Restoration Project near Jefferson, CO, will be the beneficiary of a donation of 11% of the retailer's revenues from July-September of 2018.

Hey everybody, Erk here from basin + bend. It is June, 15 2018 and that means today is opening day at the Mount Evans State Wildlife Area. It's gonna be a low water year, so I'm interested to see what's going on up here on upper bear Creek. I'm going to go in, and check it out, and see what we can find today.
