Elk archery season is just about here in the West, and that means the bulls will be screaming soon! Have you been working on your calling? Having a wide repertoire of call sequences and strategies only increases your chances of getting everything lined up perfectly for that successful shot this season.
We're excited to welcome Matt Meyers, pro-staff for Mile High Note Game Calls for our next Guest Bartender Event. Matt will be going over calling best practices, setup ideas, and other pro-tips for chasing elk with archery equipment.
A little background on Matt
Matt has been in love with hunting his entire life. From the seed his father planted when he was literally just crawling on the ground, Matthew has found passion and joy in just being in the outdoors, especially when those moments are partnered with his Dad. While Matthew hunts for a number of species in the world, elk is his absolute favorite.
Matthew also enjoys competitively calling for elk and has won many professional state run contests, as well as being crowned with the Best of the West Elk Calling Champion in Colorado, followed by winning the entire Best of the West contest in Salt Lake City against some of the world’s best callers. Matthew also enjoys waterfowl, turkey and predator calling.
