Basin + Bend's Grand 'Snow'pening Party

Basin + Bend's Grand 'Snow'pening Party

Feb. 24, 2018 - 11a.m. - 3p.m.

27985 Meadow Dr. Ste 200 Evergreen, CO 80439

We're Having A Party!

The family behind Basin & Bend's
We hope to see you on the 24th! Erik, Addy, Shelly and the rest of the team at Basin + Bend.
Now that the hustle and bustle of the holidays is in the rear view mirror, we're throwing a shindig to celebrate our successful opening and show our appreciation for everyone that has stopped in over the past few months!

In the short time that we have been open we have already raised a considerable amount of money for conservation, and we can't wait to see what the year ahead brings!

Since we desperately need the snow, we're calling it our Grand Snowpening - because it's happening snow or shine! Be warned that we may require snow dances be performed for entry.

Don't miss out on the thousands of dollars of gear that will be given away!

Our manufacturers have offered up a pile of gear to give away to lucky attendees.

Make sure to catch these great presentations during the party!

11:30a.m - Caleb VanWagner - How to add distance to your cast

Distance casting is intriguing on many levels. When we fine-tune our equipment it is amazing to see how far fly line can travel. There are a few things that you can focus on within your cast to help add distance. Body mechanics are fundamental in any good distance cast. Just as in any sport, good habits must be formed and duplicated until they become second nature. Caleb will show you what easy tweaks you can make to add distance to your cast.

Caleb is a GoPro Mountain Games and Golden Games medalist and a Fly Fishing Team USA youth coach. He has a great understanding of distance casting and is always willing to share his knowledge.

12:00p.m - Fit 4 The Hunt - Body movements to prepare you for the mountains.

Fit 4 The Hunt provides fitness training and educational information designed to prepare you for the physical and mental demands of spending time in the mountains, whether that's to chase cutthroat in high alpine lakes, or chasing sheep on a sheer mountainside.

Brian and the team will show us some basic moves that literally anyone can do, and how you can integrate sandbags to make for an even quicker and very effective workout routine.

12:30p.m - RepYourWater - Fly Fishing Jurassic Lake in Patagonia

Garrison and Corinne Doctor (the founders of RepYourWater) recently had the pleasure of fishing Lago Strobel (aka Jurassic Lake) in Patagonia.

They'll be sharing some of their amazing photography from the trip and show you why you should check this trip off your bucket list!

1:30p.m - Brian Call (The Gritty Bowmen) - Film Screening

Most people know Brian Call as the host of the Gritty Bowmen podcast. In addition to sitting down and interviewing some of the most influential voices in hunting, he is an amazing filmmaker, hunter and conservationist.
