Fishpond Thunderhead Submersible Duffel | Waterproof Travel Duffel Bag

There are many use cases that might have you looking for a fully waterproof travel duffel bag. When you're traveling with expensive electronics, or say you are on a multi-day float where having wet gear isn't an option, first come to mind.

Maybe you're flying into the tropics or Alaska and need to change planes multiple times and your travel luggage might be exposed to the elements for extended lengths of time.

No matter what the situation is, if it's critical that the contents stay dry, the Fishpond Thunderhead Submersible Duffel is the bag you will look to.

Fishpond Thunderhead Waterproof Travel Duffel Features

The Thunderhead Duffel is a carry-on compatible, small waterproof duffel bag when compared to its larger brother, the Large Thunderhead Duffel. It's intended for quick excursions, or small loads, where being waterproof matters. It will keep your fishing gear and personal items dry, no matter what liquid mishaps occur, even if it goes overboard. While technically it's a burly duffel bag, you could say it's a dry bag, travel luggage, gear bag and boat bag all wrapped into one bright little package.

It's built from rugged 840 denier recycled nylon fabric, then coated with TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane). The seams are TPU welded, which provides a reliable waterproof seal at all the seams.

The main cargo zipper is a TI-ZIP, which, when closed, is waterproof and air tight. This zipper was invented by and is manufactured by the German company, Titex. They make zippers designed for dry bags and survival suits, so you know it won't fail.

The heavy duty carry handles are made from braided climbing rope, adding the signature Fishpond aesthetic to the bag. The abundant daisy-chain webbing allows it to easily be strapped into a raft, or have more gear strapped to the outside.

The bright Cutthroat Orange color will make sure you can pick it out as easy at the luggage carousel as when you might be chasing it down a raging river.

While a little pricey when compared to other dry bags out there, once you factor in potential losses incurred by getting your other valuable gear wet, or rendered temporarily useless, you can see having a bag that does one thing, and does it well, justifies the price.
